What changes when design, technical expertise, cost planning and construction work together from the beginning? At Cyclo, we’ve developed and refined our fully integrated methodology over many years to bring every part of a project together. The result is a faster, more collaborative process that reduces risk and delivers greater certainty and efficiency.

The Cyclo difference
What makes our approach different?
In a traditional procurement model, architects, planners, engineers, project managers and builders may all be separate organisations, engaged at different stages. The builder can become meaningfully involved only after the design, approvals and engineering have substantially progressed.
This approach works for many projects, but it can also create a disconnect between design intent, technical requirements, cost, approvals and what can practically be built. If construction pricing comes back over budget, the client may then face redesign, re-engineering, delays and additional consultant costs.
Cyclo’s fully integrated approach brings these disciplines into the project from the outset, allowing design decision
Working in parallel
Integration allows parts of the process that might otherwise happen sequentially to progress together. Design can develop alongside technical review, engineering input, costing and construction planning, reducing the need to wait for one stage to finish before another begins.
Our teams also work side by side. Design and technical specialists can resolve questions through direct conversations, helping decisions happen sooner and keeping the project moving toward construction once the required approvals are in place.

Continuous technical input
Construction knowledge is applied as the design evolves. Our technical team continually reviews design against budget, buildability, engineering, compliance, construction methodology and value, creating an ongoing feedback loop between design and delivery.
Experience from projects already under construction can also inform current designs. We can identify and incorporate buildability improvements, compliance issues, and value-engineering opportunities before they become embedded in the documentation. This means our designers aren’t working in isolation from the people who understand how the project will ultimately be built.
Collaboration with accountability
Bringing design, technical and construction together means decisions can be made collaboratively, while budgets, stages, deliverables and commitments remain clearly defined. For specialist medical, veterinary and childcare environments, this helps balance circulation, workflow, services, compliance, specialist equipment and buildability
Is an integrated approach right for my project?
Cyclo’s fully integrated process is particularly suited to commercial projects with a defined or realistic budget, time constraints or specialist requirements. Engaging our team early means we can consider design, technical expertise, planning, approvals, cost, and construction together, without requiring you to independently assemble and coordinate each discipline.
Most importantly, you gain greater visibility of what you’re designing, what it will cost and how it will be built.
Talk to Cyclo about your next project and how our fully integrated process can help you move from concept to construction with greater speed, clarity and confidence.
