Renewed laboratory and training spaces for a university, bringing updated work surfaces, storage and technical services together for practical learning.
Planned around the academic break
Cyclo completed the refurbishment over the Christmas holidays within a tight timeframe. Detailed planning and coordination were central to delivering the work during this limited window.
Coordinating the technical requirements
The project included removing redundant services, extending a two-hour fire-rated wall and upgrading emergency warning and sprinkler systems. Existing medical gas, compressed air and suction lines were modified, alongside the laboratory’s fume cabinets.
Renewing the everyday workspaces
New joinery, replacement benchtops and a motion-sensor wash trough updated the laboratory and training areas. Painting and new floor coverings completed the refurbishment, addressing both the working surfaces and the surrounding environment.
