In just 59 days, Nimble Veterinary Hospital came to life as a modern clinic with separate dog and cat spaces, a central surgical theatre, and a calming, spa-like aesthetic. The result is a highly functional practice that minimises stress for patients while maximising efficiency for staff.
Nimble Veterinary Hospital in West Ryde was designed and built by Cyclo Group with a clear vision: to create a contemporary veterinary clinic that combines efficiency, safety and a fear-free experience for patients.
Working within a compact footprint, the design placed a strong emphasis on workflow to support both clinical care and staff wellbeing. From the outset, the layout was planned around separation – dogs and cats have their own waiting areas, consult rooms and caging spaces, allowing anxious patients to remain calm from arrival through to recovery. The feline ward includes calming pheromones and a dedicated cat nook, ensuring stress is minimised wherever possible.
At the heart of the building sits a large surgical theatre. Large windows provide full visibility from induction to recovery. This feature not only enhances patient safety but allows veterinarians to work more confidently and efficiently. Every design choice, from lighting to furniture selection, was made to support a calming environment that aligns with fear-free principles.
Completed in just 59 days, the project also reflects Cyclo’s ability to deliver quickly without compromising on detail. The finished hospital balances a professional, highly functional clinical environment with the look and feel of a boutique day spa. For clients, it offers a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere.
