Cyclo transformed an existing building into a specialist ophthalmology practice in Wollongong, combining modern clinical facilities with warm, natural interiors and a relaxed, professional environment.

Creating a specialist practice

Southern Ophthalmology provides specialist eye care, using diagnostic imaging and treatment technologies to support its patients. Cyclo was engaged to finalise the design, assist with certification and compliance requirements, and deliver the fitout of the practice’s Wollongong premises.

A complete interior transformation

The project involved demolishing the existing interior and constructing a new environment suited to the requirements of a specialist medical practice. Cyclo coordinated the fitout to accommodate the practice’s clinical needs while creating a functional space for patients and staff.

Warm and professional interiors

The interior design balances a professional clinical setting with a relaxed atmosphere. Timber features bring natural warmth to the practice, creating a comfortable environment that moves away from a conventional institutional aesthetic.

Upgrading the exterior

Cyclo’s scope extended beyond the interior fitout to include external rendering, painting, tiling, landscaping and automatic gates. These works completed the transformation of the existing building, creating a cohesive environment inside and out.
